October 8-14 is National Fire Prevention Week. According to the National Fire Prevention Association, more than 358,000 homes in America experience a structural fire each year. To try and bring that number down, the Red Cross of Alaska is reminding everyone of the safety steps to follow to avoid one of these blazes.
