Australian popstar Vanessa Amorosi is suing her mother over the way she managed her finances at the height of her career in the early 2000s.

Philip Solomon KC, representing Ms Amorosi, said the Narre Warren property had been in the family for about 22 years. "There was accordingly in the early 2000s an emphasis necessary on the way in which the income derived by her singing was to be taken in and then to be distributed."
