Valve-turning climate change activists draw attention of pipeline industry, state lawmakers, even Congress. NicholsonBlake

In this Oct. 11, 2016 photo provided by Samuel Jessup, climate change activist Michael Foster, of Seattle, turns an emergency shut-off valve on an oil pipeline in northeastern North Dakota. Foster was arrested and ended up spending six months in jail. The valve-turning tactic has been embraced in recent years by activists who believe fossil fuels are precipitating a global warming crisis.

It already has, by activists in the U.S. who believe fossil fuels are precipitating a global warming crisis.an Enbridge oil pipeline in northern Minnesota. But pipeline companies say so-called valve turners are dangerous — to themselves and the public — and many energy industry officials and advocates say they should be treated as domestic terrorists.

NicholsonBlake Referring to the activists as 'valve turners' creates a dangerous atmosphere (no pun here) in which some might consider this a relatively benign demonstration. This couldn't be farther from the truth. Not all pipelines are aged the same, and it's only a matter of time ..

NicholsonBlake Well... Since Climate Change is a HOAX, why are they so upset about the pipeline?

NicholsonBlake The Canadian side of this pipeline is an environmental hazard. The Trump Administration allowed the worst deal that only benefits Canada - dumb move realDonaldTrump

NicholsonBlake hey, feel free to editorialize in your 'news' stories. NotJournalism

NicholsonBlake Domestic terrorism as it's an attack against US infrastructure. Put them under the jail....

NicholsonBlake Who would win? A) a massive oil corporation worth billions B) one turney boi

NicholsonBlake Pipelines are much safer to ecology that rail or truck. Turn off the 'valve' to your house and car if you are genuinely concerned.

NicholsonBlake This is what needs to happen. The only people being hurt by these valves shutting off are the already rich oil companies who shouldn't have moved the pipelines through in the first place. Remember. Native American land was destroyed for a stupid pipeline a while back.

NicholsonBlake Climatology is a religion

NicholsonBlake These activists need to get jobs
