Canada's housing market has gone into winter hibernation early this year, with fewer sales, fewer new listings, and mostly flat selling prices. The number of homes sold in October fell by 5.6%, and new listings slipped by 2.

3%. CREA president Larry Cerqua stated that many potential buyers have already gone into hibernation, and some sellers may be postponing their plans until next spring.
