Green says she kept quiet about it. However, she says her family and two friends finally helped her deal with the disease .
“I was very emotional when I spoke about it for the first time, because I felt stigmatised. So, I have been trying to encourage everyone out there who either has the disease or has a family member, lost someone to this disease, not be afraid of it. Whenever I can, at any event, I go out and spread the word that TB can affect anyone. It doesn’t discriminat; most importantly, it’s curable.”
