He spoke at an event organised by the Co-Creation Hub , in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation’s Centre for Innovative Teaching & Learning in ICT. With the theme “Evaluating the Impact of Government Policies in Edtech Adoption in Nigeria”, it was moderated by the Programme Associate, Education, CCHUB, Abigail Anaza-Mark.
She stated further that despite the implementation of the 2019 National Policy of ICT in Education, which focuses on research and infrastructure, the course of learning and teaching in schools has not improved.She disclosed that the government needs to review the country’s curriculum to cater to the integration and adoption of technology, as this would go a long way to support learning and teaching.
The Akire of Ikire-Ile, Osun State, Oba Abdulazeez Olatunbosun and a former National Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission , Prof. Lai Olurode, have called on government at all levels in the country to restore the glory of public secondary schools as they used to be in the days of Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
The Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, has reiterated that the state government is committed to alleviating the current economic hardship that is ongoing nationwide. A former Minister of State for Defence, Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro, has said that constituents must feel the impact of government in their areas, to justify the funds allocated to constituency projects.
