But Boni told The Daily Beast that while she is thrilled that she made the “song of the summer,” she is also confused—because the video was a joke that nobody seemed to get. “I think I posted a draft on TikTok where I essentially list out the lyrics, like oh this guy needs to be in finance,” she explained. “At the end of that video, I started singing, so I thought OK, I’ll just make a separate video.”
