Two Harrisburg-area lawmakers are worried Broad Street Market could lose state funding

Zach Gleiter | Special to PennLiveTwo Pennsylvania legislators are concerned a recent Harrisburg City Council decision regarding the rebuilding of the Broad Street Market could jeopardize the market’s chances of receiving state funding.

The mayor and Broad Street Market Alliance, the board that oversees the market, said the decision could set back the rebuilding process by several months. “From this point of view, we are concerned that the delay in selecting a construction manager now could delay support from the state,” they said.
