The survey showed that 60% of traders in Malaysia consider Wednesdays and Thursdays to be happy days. According to Kar Yong Ang, a financial market analyst for Octa, this belief has a viable reason behind it. “In 90% of cases, Wednesdays are the days when data on US inflation is released, as well as reports on the US Federal Reserve interest rate. These events tend to affect market movements, and the Wednesday trend often continues through Thursday.
