Parachutists jumped from World War II-era planes into now peaceful Normandy to kick off a week of ceremonies marking the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Soldiers from across the United States, Britain, Canada and other Allied nations waded ashore through hails of fire on five beaches on June 6, 1944.

EMILY GLASSCOCK City Of Enterprise As the summer begins, so do summer door-to-door or place to place sales. The City of Enterprise Revenue Department wants to educate citizens about the process and remind solicitors that they must obtain a business license before any business or solicitation begins.

“We want these solicitors to be easily recognizable and this badge will let our citizens know that this particular person and business are approved to be going door-to-door,” Chief Revenue Officer Laura Miller said. “This badge does not imply endorsement, but it lets our community know the solicitor has met the requirements to do business in Enterprise.”

Enterprise citizens are reminded that they may ask the solicitors to leave private property at any time, and the solicitors must comply. Additionally, if a “no soliciting” sign is posted anywhere on the grounds, the solicitor must immediately vacate the premises. Those who do not comply with any written, posted or verbal notice may face termination of the license.
