Prime Minister Lawrence Wong said Singapore has come a long way in developing tourism, but the sector cannot be complacent as other countries are also stepping up their game. 27 individuals and companies were honoured at the Singapore Tourism Awards for boosting the industry.

Mrs Pamelia Lee, credited with developing the country's first tourism master plan in the 1980s, received a lifetime achievement award. Singapore Airlines and Changi Airport Group also received special recognition awards for their contributions to reviving the sector post-pandemic. Nasyrah Rohim reports.
