Recap: Preston General Election 2024 updates and results, Jacob and Harley Nelson have amassed millions of followers on TikTok with their live streams and videos from inside the Spud Van on the city’s Flag Market.

Jacob Nelson said: “In the last year, through the power of social media the support for our family business and love for the humble jacket potato has gone through the roof. As a family, we’ve continued a local legacy dating back to 1955, and we’re proud to serve the greatest spuds on Earth. “This new tram is a huge milestone for us, tripling our capacity and allowing us to tour the tram around the UK. We can’t wait to celebrate with the people of Preston, who’ve supported us so much.”The new look tram is to be opened by Keith Roberts Snr, the UK’s longest surviving spudman and who started selling the jackey potatoes on the Flag Market in 1955.
