Picture: Khaya Ngwenya / Independent NewspapersThe Black Business Federation has come out guns blazing, accusing top politicians and councillors of being behind the so-called“We know who they are and how they work,” BBF Secretary General Wonder Jaca told IOL in an exclusive interview.
“Yes we don't condone what we did, but we take accountability for how we began. But that's not where we are today. “We cannot and will not be associated with them, we must make that clear. These are not construction mafia, they are criminals,” explained Jaca. “The only way to stop these corrupt and criminal elements is to ensure a fair process. Government must recognise the Black Business Federation, let us engage as a collective on allocating 30% of projects to black businesses using our platform so that those within government cannot abuse the system.
