The Causeway Coast and Glens and Mid South West growth deals have been put on hold by the Labour government

The UK government must lift the 'pause' on funding for the Causeway Coast and Glens and the Mid South West Growth deals, Finance Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald has said.

The UK government put city and growth deals on hold last week, but has agreed to the signing of the City Deal for Derry and Strabane this week.“The Executive and indeed elected members from right across the Assembly Chamber are united in our message that the pause must be lifted immediately for the Causeway Coast and Glens and Mid South West Growth Deals," Dr Archibald said in a statement following last night's talks.

She added: "I made clear to the Chief Secretary to the Treasury last night that there can be no disparity in treatment of the Deals and that these regions should not have to wait until the Spending Review for clarity.
