Traders at Umuahia's major market, Orie Ugba were on Saturday morning, chased away from the market by a combined enforcement team. The traders, some of who came from different parts of the state, disobeyed the Abia State government's directive restricting the movement of humans and vehicles during election hours. When DAILY POST visited the market at 10:30 am, the enforcement team made of market leaders and community leaders were seen ordering those who opened their shops to close them.

One of the traders who identified himself as Uche said the disappointment of the 2023 Presidential election result discouraged him from participating in another election in the country.
