Man doused 'in bleach' at busy east London market in front of horrified onlookers

The victim was targeted at around 1:40pm this afternoon while walking through Broadway Market in Hackney.One onlooker shared a picture on X, showing police cars and vehicles from the London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service on the scene. A spokesman for the Met Police said: 'Police were called at about 13:40hrs on Thursday, 14 November to reports of an assault at Broadway Market, E8.
