Partner with client groups on various HR processes such as workplace redesign, organizational structure, lines of sequence, scheduling, health and safety.Assist in contract negotiations by researching issues and providing relevant information and support throughout the process. Develop bargaining proposals in real time as disputes arise.Will become an expert on Algoma Steel’s collective agreements.Must stay current with employment legislation and arbitral case law.

Ability to comprehend technical contract language including collective agreements, letters of agreement and manuals.Working knowledge of the Labour Relations Act, the Employment Standards Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Human Rights Code is considered an asset.
