Local businesses hope for community support for Small Business Saturday

While Black Friday and Cyber Monday often dominate headlines with their massive deals from big-box retailers and online giants, Small Business Saturday provides a counterbalance, encouraging shoppers to support their neighborhood stores and keep money in the community. Federal data shows over 67% of sales from a small business go back into the local economy. For a corporation, it’s less than 34%."Here in Grapevine, we have a lot of multi-generational small businesses. Some of these families have been in small business here in Grapevine for more than 100 years, so it's something to really be proud of,” said Elizabeth Schrack with. “It's so important to support these families and support these small businesses.
