Fire outbreaks in three different states across the country have destroyed property and shops worth billions of naira.

The fire, according to residents, started at about 2.30am but had already gone wild before the state fire personnel arrived. The fire at the Kwara market affected mostly those dealing with mattresses, carpets, gum and other materials.
