Most Americans believe health insurance profits and coverage denials share responsibility for the killing of UnitedHealthcare's CEO — although not as much as the person who pulled the trigger, according to a new poll. about 8 in 10 U.S. adults think the health insurance industry as a whole is at least partly to blame for the death of Thomas John Prise, the former CEO of UnitedHealthcare.
60% believe that profits drive the industry to deny coverage, and 43% believe that coverage denials directly contributed to Prise's death.
