Shifting to more efficient, lighter and smaller cars, powered by cleaner fuels, is an important step. But we have to go much further, dramatically cutting down car use. In the middle of a global climate and environmental emergency, we have to stop glamourising one of its leading causes.
The glamour is manufactured anyway, it's all propaganda and advertising. And glamour is the right word - 'false or superficial charm'.
