MACC deputy chief commissioner Azam Baki says only 10% of those served with compound notices are willing to pay up.
On Oct 7, MACC said it had served compound notices to 80 individuals and companies said to have benefited from 1MDB to the tune of RM420 million. Pontian MP Ahmad Maslan had accused MACC of abusing its powers, saying it was unfair in calculating the amounts demanded.
