shares rose in the extended session Wednesday after the software company's earnings topped Wall Street estimates. Nuance shares rose 5.2% after hours, following a 0.5% rise in the regular session to close at $16.60. The company reported fiscal fourth-quarter net income of $108.1 million, or 37 cents a share, compared with a loss of $35.1 million, or 13 cents a share, in the year-ago period.
