St Nicholas Fair has been held annually in the city since 1992 and runs from 17 November to 23 December. As a resident I appreciate that it brings custom and revenue etc to the city. But I think I can speak for most of us when I say we hate the Christmas Market. It's badly laid out, it is too crowded, it blocks local businesses and its full of the same stuff EVERY year.
It's a Christmas market, what do you expect? Trying to get rid of more small businesses?
2 years of nothing during COVID. Maybe things have gone a little too far but don’t bite the hand that feeds you. Footfall is great for business and behaviour can be managed with a bit of iron fist.

The Christmas market is always a crowd puller, the problem isn't the market but bad planning and execution by the council.
