Jems’ founders Whitney Geller and Yasemin Emory are creating more than an updated condom experience. They are removing taboos from sexual wellness.

Geller and Emory met in college. After graduation, Geller worked for a design company out of New York, while Emory worked at Martha Stewart in the special issue publication department. Eventually, they began moonlighting on the side.

“There was so much white space,” Emory states. “We knew we weren’t represented in this space. When we started thinking more about it, there were so many more beyond us who were not represented in this space. Given what we had been doing for the last ten years, we knew we were well-equipped to take on this challenge because we were coming to it from a design and communications perspective.

As the cofounders continue to disrupt the condom market, they focus on the following essential steps:
