One study has suggested that the total bill for tobacco companies could top €1bn . Any potential cost cigarette companies incur is expected to be passed onto the consumer, providing another incentive for smokers to quit. The country has already made moves to try and limit smoking in public areas with 525 beaches declared smoke-free in 2021.

Then those environmental regulations lead to overreach that robs ppl of freedoms. Bc freedom and responsibility necessarily go together.

Wrong. The ppl who chose to litter with cigarette buts are responsible. To hold anyone else responsible is to say that the individuals are so pathetic that they are INCAPABLE of taking responsibility for their own actions. Responsibility and freedom are 2 sides of the same thing
