General Motors Co. is slated to report second-quarter earnings before the bell on Tuesday, with Wall Street expecting an update about the carmaker’s electric vehicles and a potential outlook raise.
GM GM raised its 2023 profit outlook in April, and now a potential full-year guidance raise could also be in the works, thanks to “rebounding volumes and moderating inflationary pressures,” CFRA analyst Garrett Nelson said. Revenue: The analysts surveyed by FactSet see GM’s revenue at $42.1 billion, compared with $35.8 billion in the year-ago quarter. The Estimize call is for revenue of $41.9 billion.
