Vodafone Group PLC VOD, +2.61%, a wireless telecommunications services company, and investment advisors business M&G PLC MNG, +2.40% rounded out the top five largest increases as their stocks climbed 2.61% and 2.40%, respectively. Shares of biotechnology firm AstraZeneca PLC AZN, -3.17% and food retail company Ocado Group PLC OCDO, -2.25% shed 3.17% and 2.25%, respectively.
The pound was up 0.49% against dollar GBPUSD, +0.52% at $1.2528 and 0.08% against the euro GBPEUR, +0.05% at €1.1660.
