U.K. stocks break two-day winning streak

Of the FTSE 100 constituents, residential building construction company Persimmon PLC PSN, -6.74% saw the largest decrease Wednesday, as shares fell 6.74%

Taylor Wimpey PLC TW, -4.25%, a residential building construction company, and building materials/products business CRH PLC CRH, -4.08% rounded out the top five largest decreases as their stocks dropped 4.25% and 4.08%, respectively. Shares of hotels firm Whitbread PLC WTB, +1.29% and non-alcoholic beverages/drinks company Coca-Cola HBC AG CCH, +0.85% climbed 1.29% and 0.85%, respectively.

The pound was down 0.27% against dollar GBPUSD, -0.27% at $1.2151 and was up 0.16% against the euro GBPEUR, +0.16% at €1.1536.
