The S&P 500 is coming off its eighth straight day of winning sessions. If the benchmark index ends in the green today, that would mark the first nine-day winning streak since November 2004, according to Dow Jones Market Data.
In recent trading, the S&P 500 was slightly lower. Since January 1928, the S&P 500 has logged winning streaks of nine days or more 32 times. The last streak of 10 days or more was the 12-day winning streak in September 1995.
