She offered the audience an update, claiming she’s taken up gardening and raising chickens since ending her show.At the end of every episode, Degeneres reminded her audience to “be kind.” However, the reports of a toxic workplace turned into animosity for the comedian, which she addressed during her show.
“The hate went on for a long time, and I would try to avoid looking at the news. The ‘be kind’ girl wasn’t kind. That was the headline,” Degeneres said. “For those of you keeping score, this is the second time I’ve been kicked out of show business … Eventually, they’re going to kick me out for a third time because I’m mean, old, and gay.
At the moment, Degeneres will keep her tour to the Pacific coast, with the last show slated for July of this year. However, the website promises more dates and locations will be announced.
