Deadline has brought word that Francis Galluppi is officially signed on to write and direct a new Evil Dead spinoff. The project marks the second spinoff currently in development from Raimi's Ghost House Pictures, alongside the previously announced movie coming from Infested co-writer/director Sébastien Vaniček. Raimi wrote about the new Evil Dead movie in the following statement:
