Foreign nationals living in Cape Town’s Central Methodist Church say four children have died from chickenpox since last month.

They want to be sent from South Africa to another country other than that of their country of origin, claiming that they are no longer safe in this country.Internal conflict has broken out, dividing the foreign nationals into two groups. Some have accused a prominent leader of abuse of power and instigating violence.

“Four children last month, we have three or four children suffering from chickenpox right now in the church. We are homeless, we don’t have anywhere to go. If they can provide any temporary accommodation where people can be safe in the meanwhile while we are waiting for the UN to come for the individual interview for the resettlement.

Weak upholding of the law by SA Gov/ SAHA has allowed this. People who are in the country illegally must be deported immediatel. SAHA made the ruling a few years ago of migrants only being able to enter SA at designated Border Keypoints or be deported. As usual laws are ignored.

Deport the whole lot without delay

I feel sad to hear that children have died, but my question is where is the ambassadors or high commissioner of these people? People should understand that don't take advantage of S A gov't, follow the laws of the country or go back home. Period.

UN and AU need to do something because now. Innocent children are end up victims through failure of this 2 organizations. UN need to deal with this leaders who are not willing to bring democracy to their countries. And AU it have to be strong too and deal strong with leaders

So sad 😞. Please HomeAffairsSA GovernmentZA LRC_SouthAfrica help these people go back home 😢😢😢
