Delta had a very good year last year. Instead of just verbally thanking its employees, it announced it would pay them $1.6 billion in profit-sharing bonuses. Every eligible employee will receive a check next month for 16.6% of their annual salary.

Delta Air Lines had a very good year last year. Instead of just verbally thanking its employees for the company's strong performance, it announced it would pay them $1.6 billion in profit-sharing bonuses.

That means every eligible employee will receive a check next month for 16.6% of their annual salary, which is the equivalent of an additional two months' pay. "Delta would be nothing without our 90,000 people. They deserve all the credit," Delta CEO Ed Bastian said on LinkedIn.The profit payout to employees for 2019 is a record amount. It is also the sixth year in a row that the company has paid out more than $1 billion to workers, a Delta spokesperson said.

Thanks President Trump

Good for you Delta

That’s great - too bad tickets cost so much I can’t afford to fly ANYWHERE.

Beautiful

That's one of the few companies that are 'sharing the tax cut' to their employees! Cudos for the folks working for Delta!

That is good corporate leadership

good to hear.

Or, stop gouging customers. We paid for that, not Delta exec team.

Thanks Trump...keep it going

Kudos to delta. Now spread the cheer by lowering rates.

KevinWeekes By the way KevinWeekes Delta is not as generous as you might think. Delta paid out less than 20% of pretax profits, on which they saved roughly $400 mill in fed tax, which will cost employees roughly $300 million in fed tax. If Delta paid as 401k would have cost employees $0

michaeljknowles I thought the economy wasn’t doing well tho

united

Excellent 👍

michaeljknowles You forgot ', damn it'.

Call this the 'no 737 Max' bonus

👏👏

This is how it should be done.

They do that every year, dimwit

Ik gun het de harde werkers. Maar net zo goed de omwonenden van Schiphol die ieder jaar 10.000 vluchten van Delta over hun hoofd heen krijgen SchipholWatch

Hows those lawsuits coming?

This is what happens in a healthy economy. Responsible employers know the value of good employees and voluntarily give them raises and bonuses. All without government interference. Thank you President Trump!!!

Pretty good Trump economy I would say‼️Huge wage increase in the low and middle income‼️Let’s hear the cheers CNN‼️Oh, I almost forgot, you only like to demean the President‼️

are you ok with this, jjsahadi?

Thanks to Trump best economy!!!!

Lol, remember when the GOP, particularly in Georgia, declared Delta dead after they announced they wouldn’t give preferential treatment to NRA members?

all thanks to TrumpTaxCuts InAction that Delta was able to make enough profits for them to be able to payback their employees. No Way you can spin that result of TheTrumpTaxCuts.

Is this an example of one of those evil corporations the Left warns us about?

I feel like someone said this would start happening more often...

LouisChernevet CEO of UnitedTechnologies walked away (decided 2retire) with $400M in 2014 forcing employees to furlough. Now the same company has made good progress financially stocks have gone up 70 - 100 %. Will executives pass on any profit down the food chain like Delta?

Not surprised . It's a Trump economy.
