The heads of Canada's major business associations have banded together to urge the government to address the ongoing protests and rail blockades that have shut down much of the country's rail system.

In a letter sent to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Tuesday, the heads of the Business Council of Canada, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, the Canadian Federation of Independent Business and Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters all demanded the government take action – and fast.

"They also threaten public safety by preventing the distribution of essential products like chlorine for water treatment and propane for heating homes, seniors facilities and farms," the letter reads. The protesters are pushing back against a planned natural gas pipeline that would cross Wet’suwet’en territory in northern B.C., with tensions escalating into a broader conversation about First Nations rights, sovereignty and the rule of law.

"I know that people’s patience is running short. We need to find a solution. And we need to find it now," Trudeau said.

Call up Donald Trump. He’s pretty good with the tactical drone strikes

PM JT 🇨🇦 do it NOW the protesters are causing too much havoc. Don’t Let “Jody Wilson-Raybould” continue to make This Protest an “INDIGENOUS RACE ISSUE”

Sadly business is seen by the libs, greens, NDP and bloc as the enemy.

Didn’t they get the memo... Patience or you will be called Racist!

20 elected Aboriginal councils affected by the pipeline have approved the pipeline. Apparently mob rule prevails in Canada. Hereditary chiefs represent no one except themselves. Some people think they're so morally superior they don't have to follow the law and court orders.

Anybody that says the current gov’t isn’t using everyone as pawns with their divisive identity politics is lying to themselves & others. And stop allowing foreign $ in to pay for illegal protesters that aren’t from Canada. Check their passports!

pretty easy to block a railroad that is not yours when you don't have bills or a family to take care of, or even a job. Get these idiots out of here!

Good thing they aren’t in charge 🤷🏼‍♂️

You have no Clue .... Do some REAL REPORTING

Sit and then cave in it's the Libral way

80% of the band members agreed to it in a plebiscite, all elected chiefs did and so did 8 of 13 Hereditary Chiefs...and 2 of the 5 dissenting Hereditary chiefs ran for band chief and lost...why is media not telling the TRUTH

Time for all real Canadians to blockade access to all Indian reserves to stop entry of fuel, cigs, groceries etc. Let them get injunctions and see what happens. This is heading to a civil war all thanks to that useless wimp Trudeau and his asshole liberals.

Why can't we push back the protesters 100 meters so they can still protest but not block the rail tracks ? Seems like a compromise to me.

So our economy is brought to its knees by 5 unelected “hereditary” chiefs who do not represent anyone.

Private land, federal implications. This needs to end. It’s terrorism. Why don’t the rail companies just run some snow plows down the rails to clear them off. If the terrorists are threatening a derailment wouldn’t that be bad for the land they are trying to defend?!?

That goes against Fancy Socks interests. He would much rather stall the Canadian economy for his globalist agenda.
