The Supreme Court refused to consider a challenge by certain gun owners to the Trump administration’s ban on bump stocks, rapid-fire devices that were used in the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting

WASHINGTON—The Supreme Court on Monday refused to consider a challenge by certain gun owners to the Trump administration’s ban on bump stocks, rapid-fire devices that were used in the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting.

The court, in a brief written order, let stand an appeals court decision from last year that said gun owners had failed to show the Justice Department acted unreasonably and outside its legal authority when it prohibited bump stocks.

This is a misleading and inaccurate headline and article (not surprised). this was a denial of an interlocutor appeal which is denial based on legal timing, not the merits. See Gorsuch’s statement. At the conclusion of the appellate case, it can still be appealed to SCOTUS.

Of all the issues that could have taken to the Supreme Court, they wanted to address the bump stock ban! Might as well have challenge the ATF on legalizing automatic receivers! What a complete waste of the Supreme Court's time and efforts. I'm glad they refused to address it.

Thank you.

Sad, sad, chickenshits.

Cowards

That's bad

Because they know it will be overturned. Can’t ban non-mechanical plastic.

hmmm
