“It was my own decision to do so,” she said, adding that her resignation is subject to approval by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.Describing her meeting with Muhyiddin as cordial, Latheefa said he “understands my position”. Her resignation comes almost a week after Tommy Thomas stepped down as the attorney-general. Thomas later told FMT that he was dutibound to give up the post as he was appointed by Mahathir.
Her appointment was met with mixed response, with some criticising it as a political appointment for not going through Parliament.

We now have no AG or anti graft chief so hopefully MuhyiddinYassin still leaves out the worst of the corrupt as he promised in his first address as PM. The lack of Cabinet and Parliament in a limbo state is of grave concern given the current health and economic climate we face.

Well she had the backing off all top officials to carry out here duties, NotMyPM took over she had a smell of traitors brewing in the works, better to resign than be an accessory.
