If you've been provided information about the role and company, you should do your research so you're prepared for the interview. "In some instances, there are candidates who are creating mobile apps in the evenings after their kids go to bed, which shows me that they have the right technical skills, as well as the passion and problem-solving behaviors we look for," said Hoffman. "In other instances, we see candidates who have taken a break in their careers for various reasons, and learned new skill sets during that time. These are all great things to bring up in an interview.
