Wall Street is looking to deploy data-mapping tech pioneered by Google and it could help visualize how the coronavirus is upending businesses and economies

"One of our strategic initiatives in UBS Group Technology is a step change in data for landscape insight," said Rick Carey, group CTO for UBS AG, via email. "Leveraging the latest data technologies, architectures and best practices will significantly enhance IT data and give senior management great insight for faster, even more informed decision making.

However, one of the best, and broadest, examples of using knowledge graphs is simply pulling together data sets that would normally never interact with each other. That theory lends itself to helping investors understand the impact the spread of coronavirus could have on the markets. However, additional insight would be adding info on factors like specific coronavirus outbreaks, store closures, job listings. All of that helps user better understand how to measure impact of the virus.
