The second-ranking Democrat in the House said Wednesday he remains hopeful an agreement on additional aid to small businesses can still be worked out on Capitol Hill."Hopefully, we are getting closer to an agreement,"House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer told reporters on a conference call Wednesday.

Democrats have been seeking to add more money for health-care workers and equipment and for cash-strapped states to a Republican-proposed boost in cash aid for closed businesses under the Paycheck Protection Program. The House is not set to meet again until Friday, by which time Republicans say the business lending program will run out of funds. Hoyer said talks continue between congressional Democrats and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin.

😂 they blocked it and delayed it. They haven’t done a thing this year.

Democrats are blocking desperately needed financial aid in their despicable attempt to force higher U.S. taxpayer funding for illegal aliens, abortion and infanticide. Democrat politicians and left-media are bigger enemies of the American people than coronavirus.
