The private game ranching industry based in northern Zululand is said to be on the brink of collapse.

Pongola - The private game ranching industry based in northern Zululand, worth billions of rand before the national lockdown to contain the coronavirus disease, is on the brink of collapse.

“Wildlife was stipulated as an essential service in level 5. “We are stuck without food to provide for our families. We miss entertaining the international tourists who offer better tips because they get overwhelmed by our dancing skills. Every weekend we were guaranteed income from entertaining guests,” said Zwane.
