Prime Minister ScottMorrisonMP says Australian businesses will need to decide if trade with China is now a riskier proposition as tensions heat up between the two nations.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison says Australian businesses will need to decide if trade with China is now a riskier proposition as tensions heat up between the two nations. Speaking at the National Press Club on Tuesday, Mr Morrison spruiked the benefits of free trade with China, harking back to earlier comments warning against a rise in protectionism amid the coronavirus crisis. But on the decision of risk, Mr Morrison said that was a judgement only businesses can make.

And, like any business, they have to weigh up the security of the markets in which they sell to. And the risks that are associated with those," Mr Morrison said. "And those risks will move, from time to time. They’ll ebb and flow. And we would like to see stable, reliable, dependable markets all the time for our products and services.

ScottMorrisonMP China who?

ScottMorrisonMP fearlessgeniuz

ScottMorrisonMP This question shouldnt even need to be a asked. It has never been so evident that the world, and its businesses, can’t trust a genocidal regime that lies, steals,Threatens, coerces, bullies, infiltrates,…And has Australia in its crosshairs with its accelerating hegemonic activities

ScottMorrisonMP Well, we love Australian beef .but.....the US beef is not bad.

ScottMorrisonMP The PM must think Australian businesses are as slow on the uptake as bloody Politicians 🤪 Lets hope they heed this warning on their trades fragility when they rely on one customer & a communist one at that 🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳

ScottMorrisonMP Hunger looms in South East Asia as China grabs rivers seas etc , wtf the world is doing, will Australia be just keeping silent on this and the US and Europe refer to the Philippine Star newspaper

ScottMorrisonMP DanielAndrewsMP has already done the Deals

ScottMorrisonMP We should revisit all aspects of dealings with China. Their ruling party has made it clear what they feel about us. Dog, chewing gum, etc. As a self respecting citizen, this is unacceptable. Ban their laundered investments and open up to civilised democratic countries. BanChina

alinali60320408 ScottMorrisonMP Think it's about time we started putting eggs in other baskets

ScottMorrisonMP It was the biggest mistake in the West to watch the CCP occupy mainland China. Today, it is a huge threat to Australia and West. Will Australia surrender to CCP like EU ?

ScottMorrisonMP CCP_is_terrorist

ScottMorrisonMP What are the risks?

ScottMorrisonMP Well your the idiots who did this.

ScottMorrisonMP Who created this dependency on China? Its Aussie businesses. The ones that pay little or no tax in Australia. The ones that are the biggest political donors to Scot Morrison & Co. The same business leaders that will sell anything, including their own companies to China.

ScottMorrisonMP It's a wake up call for Australia and many many countries around the world. Going forward China will be even worser as it flexed its economic and military totalitarian power around its trading partners

ScottMorrisonMP Just stop going on and on about it , Fuck the Chinese Government off once and be done with it .

ScottMorrisonMP Leadership at all levels! Businesses do not have souls. They chase profit. Leaders of democracies are custodians of what is right and the lives of people. It is a leaders job to set strategic agenda and rails for a productive and diverse economy. Don't shirk. Build Back Better

ScottMorrisonMP Disappointing... let’s watch the collapse of the Australian real estate market as Chinese pull out of Australia... let’s watch the collapse of superannuation as Chinese pull out of Australia... lets watch the collapse of jobs /the economy as investors go elsewhere...

ScottMorrisonMP He will not stand against China. He is unable to demand apology for China's insult. No gut no balls. Hiding behind ' business to decide '. Pathetic soft ' leadership '.

ScottMorrisonMP Morrison team even can not calculate domestic accounting right. Do we really put faith on him about this big trade issue? He must screwed something with CN and US, and Australians will pay the real price.

ScottMorrisonMP Yes bring manufacturers back to Aust, make agreement with other countries, together impose tariffs on imports and export good on china. Use the fund to support local manufacturing

ScottMorrisonMP While he rolls the red carpet out for them

ScottMorrisonMP China are not our friends Be afraid 😧

ScottMorrisonMP Port Darwin 99 yr lease to CHINA. Shut up would you...

ScottMorrisonMP No, he should state facts and say if you do business with China, you need a punch in the nuts.

ScottMorrisonMP So just what Countries were listed as willing alternatives is the more interesting question here? China buys the majority of our exports!. What more can one say to that!. I guess BANKRUPT!.

ScottMorrisonMP Except.... CHAFTA. LNP signed businesses rights away in the 2015 FTA with China. Projects over $150m CCP can bring its own labour, we are financially responsible for delays due to industrial action.. sale of Merriden Airpprt, 99yr lease of Darwin Port, farms, industry. All LNP.

ScottMorrisonMP Stay clear-minded, Aussies. Chinese Communist Party has been a threat to the free world and will never change its cruel nature.

ScottMorrisonMP Yield to CCP economy, selling soul to Evil, then all turn to evils, then no free economy anymore! Stand up your own business market rather than reply on cheap suppliers! All cheap from CCP are trapping! It is time to encourage local businesses rising up under support!

ScottMorrisonMP 🤗🤗🤗

ScottMorrisonMP They can not be trusted!

ScottMorrisonMP The myopia in China's nationalism is its failure to understand it in others. While America and Australia fought the Japanese, the Chinese Communists did a Long March houdini. The relationship with America has stood the test of time which these nouveau riche won't understand.

ScottMorrisonMP What's not to like? Sub-standard product, blackmail, Confucius Institutes, the bizarre spectacle of pro-China demonstrations in Australia on Hong Kong, housing bubbles, scarce infant food...China's trade and funds are the berg above the water line, the baggage is beneath.

ScottMorrisonMP So much vicious prejudice against China! So much criticism into China internal affairs! And you dare say China bully. No wonder and glad China also has another option.

ScottMorrisonMP Support Australia on the way out of the pandemic under Morrison leadership. Stick to Australia value. Safeguard our natural and human resources. Be innovative with primary production, manufacturing, technology, science and defense.

ScottMorrisonMP Australia should be looking at longer term prospects. This CCP beast will keep growing if you continue the current way of doing things or business with China. CCPChina will soon eat you up. AntiCCP Chinazi

ScottMorrisonMP Do you want dignity or money?

ScottMorrisonMP Stop trading with Communist China.

ScottMorrisonMP If you want to do business with China, don't interfere with its internal affairs. Do whatever you are told & put aside your so-called freedom of speech. Don't be a stupid businessman & criticize the hand that feeds you.

ScottMorrisonMP We should be a lot more worried about USA Influence in Australia... It's a lot more pernicious Auspol

ScottMorrisonMP bring the jobs back from China

ScottMorrisonMP How hot do we think it will get?

ScottMorrisonMP Australian businesses will need to decide..... IF SUPPORTING TRUMPS RE-ELECTION STRATEGY of scapegoating China for his own incompetence is worth it?

ScottMorrisonMP It definitely has effected businesses Many Australians have moved manufacturing to China as well as the ones that purchase many products, components, parts & resources Sourcing other options will impact supply chains, transparency & logistics adding extra tiers & risks to the chain

ScottMorrisonMP Australian business needs to explore moving any of their manufacturing Out of the CCP China ... even if its not possible to bring home take it somewhere else .. And all Products in Australia needs labelling of where they are made ..

ScottMorrisonMP After he poked the panda

ScottMorrisonMP No more China thanks!

ScottMorrisonMP Fuck China

ScottMorrisonMP You fight bullies by punching back. If we don’t stop their Bs NOW then we will be bent over for the rest of time. 90% Tariffs on all iron ore and coal. Call their bluff. Let them buy inferior products from Russia etc.

ScottMorrisonMP Stop all trade with China NOW.
