Vice President Leni Robredo’s office has expanded its e-market project to cover 12 areas in Pasig City amid the coronavirus pandemic.

On Wednesday, May 27, Robredo’s office began the pilot run of the Community Mart delivery service at the Pasig Mega Market where residents can buy meat, fruits, and other food items.

The Pasig city government tapped tricycle drivers to deliver the orders from the market to barangays Ugong Proper—Valle Verde, Kapitolyo, Oranbo, Maybunga, Manggahan, Santolan, and Pineda. “The said barangays were chosen for our pilot run because they are far from our market. In the coming days, we will try to expand the areas to be serviced,” she said.

Currently, the Community Mart, which is downloadable from the App Store and Google Play, is also servicing some barangays getting orders from the Kamuning Market in Quezon City.
