Initial police report said that no casualty was reported in the market fire that started at about 9 p.m. Saturday and was put out at 12: 29 a.m. Sunday.
Alfonso Mayor Randy Salamat also rendered initial reports about the market fire incident through posts on his Facebook page during the night. Police, citing a closed-circuit television camera footage, reported that the fire started at the ground floor of the market’s Building II where a live wire sparked.
The authorities reported that the fire reached the fourth alarm, and that many fire trucks from the locality and other areas responded to the scene. Police, the local disaster risk reduction and management team, and barangay men were also present to help the firefighters and guard the market area to prevent looting.Related Posts
