We also aren't looking to reschedule at the moment, since we don't know how long this will go on, so we asked financial experts how best to use the nearly $30,000 we'd saved for our wedding. At first, the decision felt heavy. We had sent out save-the-dates, left deposits with a few key vendors, built a wedding website, and felt all the feels about tying the knot. It wasn't an easy decision to cancel, but what made us feel a little bit better was knowing that if we canceled when we did we would lose only about 10% of our entire wedding budget, leaving us with around $27,000 to $30,000.

What about the people who refuse to cancel their wedding? How are they even allowed at this point? If you can shut down schools and businesses, then how is a wedding with 200 people okay?
