The trial, which started in late May, tested the vaccine in 106 subjects aged 18 to 59 versus a placebo. The Phase I study looked at the vaccine's safety and ability to induce immune responses.
The Novavax vaccine is among the first of a handful of programs singled out for US funding under Operation Warp Speed, the White House program to accelerate access to vaccines and treatments that can fight the virus. The US government in July agreed to pay Novavax $1.6 billion to help cover costs related to testing and manufacturing the vaccine, with the aim of procuring 100 million doses by January 2021.
Earlier this morning, Premier Berejiklian said she had received a request from NSW Police to look into whether masks should be compulsory for returning travellers, although the majority of people are currently wearing one. A 26-year-old female constable who was allegedly viciously attacked in Melbourne’s south-east by a woman who was approached for not wearing a mask is recovering from concussion.
She was also fined $200 for breaching coronavirus restrictions by not wearing a face mask or covering. She was released on bail and will face court in March next year.
Not sure what she is panicking about... 13-12-12. We know where they come from. I guess she wants zero case. Ah well...not that I care but it seems over the top
So where does Qld's hard border closure leave the NRL ... southerners not welcome and Queenslanders returning must go into 14 day hotel isolation. If these are the rules then it would appear the season is well and truly over.
I’m sure rural NSW is not a hotspot
Geee this is slightly over the top , if only politicians addressed all major issues Ruth this type of rigour!!!! COVID19au
Nsw idiots still bringing flights from Victoria and haven’t even made Wearing musks compulsory abcnews ABC politicsabc ABCthedrum GladysB healthgovau
In these difficult days, proud to have NSW premiere GladysB leading us. Full faith in her leadership and decision making. Thanks GladysB NSWHealth NSWStateGov know how hard you are working to keep us safe and well.
Can we keep all our GST then!!?
For god’s sake just close the damn border Anna, NSW doesn’t give a sh*t, it’s a loss for your state, stop making announcements after announcements about closing the border to gain political point.
8m NSW 400k ACT residents. 10s of active cases - all traceable Qld no 1 industry Tourism. All business knows you need skin in the game to perform. The problem with all these decision makers is they have none! No skin - nothing invested - and still receive full salaries etc
A ridiculous political stunt.
evidence nsw public traveling thru canberra to Queensland ! shut the border
A very devisive thing to do. I hope Queenslanders realise this is all theatre at the expense of their economy.
🙄
Political stunt after political stunt is all this fool offers. Why the Curious Snail and Ch 9&7 have not called it out is bewildering. Do they want no jobs and no one advertising next year?
Incompetent pure politician taking the Great Queensland and its people on a road to ruin. There is no science or fact to support this fool.
A reminder that due to the unique properties of SARSCoV2 and how it spreads that younger people are quite vulnerable to covid19. Anything the media publishes that suggests otherwise is undermining health prevention & saving of lives/livelyhoods auspol
Good ! Now stop the Queenslanders coming down here!
Wasn’t aware she’s psychic who can predict the future for NSW 😂
Qld is shooting itself in the foot and Palaszczuk could find voters dramatically turning on her when the economy completely falls off a cliff. On the other hand, you sense Queenslanders have been looking for an opportunity to shut themselves off from the rest of Aus for years!
So Queensland is stopping people from entering their state. Is there any chance they could also stop Queenslanders from leaving Qld? I'm thinking of Clive Palmer here and asking on behalf of all Western Australians.
WTF? Local cases are falling and almost all associated with clusters in Sydney. This is beyond belief...! The numbers are tiny!
Vote her out
