The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission said the nation’s courier industry’s service had showed a slight improvement last year.

According to its Annual Courier Assessment, the Courier Industry’s Customer Service Index rose to 70% in 2019 from 66% in 2018. In a statement today, MCMC said it remains committed towards ensuring that post and courier industry players continue to improve the quality of their customer service. It added that delivery of packages by courier service providers had improved, as an average of 87% of packages were delivered within three days in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak.

“The results from the Annual Courier Assessment will be the main criteria for MCMC in determining the winners for the 2019 Annual E-Commerce Delivery Award which is expected to be held in the fourth quarter of this year,” added MCMC. —
