AMC, the nation’s largest movie theater chain, is advertising a one day 15-cent deal on tickets to classic movies as the industry tries to bounce back

, and plans to open two-thirds of its theatres nationwide by September 3, according to an email sent to customers.

It's also offering its A-list subscription service, which allows members to see three movies a week, at $5 for the first month, a savings of $15.Most of the theater industry has been shuttered for months as local governments worked to slow the spread of coronavirus; a move that gave streaming services a chance to capitalize on the newly captive audience.
