: The Defence Ministry will take appropriate action against the company responsible for the delay in delivering six littoral combat ships , which were supposed to be delivered in 2019.

He said his ministry was conducting an investigation into the matter as the company had failed to complete the project within the allotted time. Following that, Ismail Sabri gave three options in relation to the direction of the LCS project, that will be presented to the Cabinet as a measure to save the contract.

As for the second option, the project is continued by BNSSB with the remaining contract ceiling to complete at least two LCS units while the third option is the termination of the contract with BNSSB and the ministry starting efforts to save the project.
