11 top online colleges with the highest salaries after graduation

, a majority of Americans over 18 would prefer to attend school online for the next several months. Respondents said that online education offers the best value for money.

"We are so accustomed to approaching college as a right of passage and thinking of it as an experiential element, as opposed to something you're investing in time and getting something in return," said Sung Rhee, CEO and founder of college ranking service. "And the outcome is not in line with what the market will bear in terms of students graduating."

As more conventional university programs shift to virtual settings and students consider the job prospects that await them in the pandemic-era economy, the financial return that a college degree can ensure is becoming increasingly important. And conventional expectations of what the college experience should include have also begun to shift — especially sinceIt may be a wise decision right now for prospective college students to look into online colleges that boast high salaries.
